I just did what I was asked/told to do.
99% of the time, I don't want to be in that shoes. It's not about revolt. Just my personal preference. (one of) my philosophy is wherever I'm at, become irreplaceable. Sounds cocky enough; so I don't just say it, I try to prove it (by action). They say actions speak louder than words, right? :)
Of course, getting a job "done" is something anyone would have to do, especially if you're not the one signing the cheque. ;) However, personally, I've always wanted to do something "more", more than asked. Obviously, "more" doesn't necessarily mean "well done" or doing a "better" job. Getting the basic, the core part of the job done is indeed enough sometimes.
Just need to remember that overachieving past the deadline is no way better than "a" achievement on time.
